Blackford NAC Semi-Annual Creek Clean-Up

Think there are no creeks in our neighborhood? Take a look at the waterway running alongside San Tomas Expressway from Williams Road to Budd Avenue. That concrete channel is what’s left of San Tomas Creek!
Sponsored by the City of San Jose, Santa Clara County Parks and Rec and the Santa Clara Valley Water District, there have been 23 such clean ups since the program began in 1996, resulting in over a quarter of a million pounds of trash removed from waterways by 12,000 volunteers.
So, if you want a fun three hours of fresh air and sunshine, come along with the Blackford NAC and help pickup the trash along San Tomas Creek way from Williams Road to Hamilton Avenue. It’s fun, interesting and educational, in addition to being the right thing to do.
